These recordings can be heard over the web using RealPlayer, with more online audio formats comming soon! Since the main RealPlayer DownLoad Link always takes you to a page with 17 places to click to download it, but only ONE of those links gets you the free version, on this page ONLY I have placed a direct link to the free version. The reason this is the only place I put it is simple; they keep moving it so you have to keep seeing the adds for the version you pay money for! I have the store-bought version myself and feel it's well worth the little money they ask for it, but I don't want to rewrite EVERY page here each time it's moved!

All of these files have been set to be recordable, for those of you with RealPlayer+. If you have "network congestion" errors while listening online, playing the files back from your local system will allow you to hear them without the audio breakup. If you don't have the Plus version of RealPlayer and you are running a win9x system, you are allowed to cheat! Here's how:

When the file is done playing but before you close RealPlayer, open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Temp\ or C:\Temp\ (whichever is set as the Temporary directory for your system). You should see a file there ending in .rm; this is the RealMedia file you have just heard. Copy that file to another directory (called maybe C:\WGTB\ ?), then you can pull another media file from the page or close RealPlayer. When RealPlayer releases the file it will delete it from the temp directory, but it won't hunt down the copy you have made elsewhere.

Due to popular request, mostly from folks using MACs, Linux, and other non-microsloth systems, I will begin adding Downloads for the files as well as the listen-on-line files. To get that started I am adding the WaterGate/Nixon Contest files as downloadable Zip files; please try them out and let me know if you have any problems with them. I need to refine the download process, and I have a lot of different ways I can go with it; without your input, I have no guesses which ones work and which ones don't!

Audio quality on these is a bit poor, partly because of the recording media availible at the time and the way they were recorded (mostly over the airwaves from a very underpowered station). Some of the files are recorded in the RealAudio3 format, most of them in RealPlayerG2.
